Regional community park of natural woodlands with over 250 acres of undeveloped land, for passive recreation. Park includes picnic sites, walking trails and scenic vistas of Boston's skyline and mountains in the west. Base area includes: Former Ski Lodge Building, picnic area and children's playground. Permits issued - reserving specified field(s)/facilities: Summer: Waltham Recreation Department Summer Fun Program held on site, late June - late August
Picnic permits to reserve picnic sites within the park - May through October
Time available to the public: Year round, dawn to dusk Picnic permits available to reserve a picnic site, otherwise picnic areas available on a first-come first-serve basis.
Vehicle access road closed November though March. Foot traffic allowed year round dawn to dusk.
