STATUTE OF LIMITATIONS REFORM HAS FINALLY BEEN WON!
Honor the survivors who inspired us and the legislators who championed our cause.
The long-fought battle by survivors of child sexual abuse and their families, legislators, legal experts, and child advocates to reform Massachusetts' criminal and civil Statute of Limitations laws has finally been won. In December, the Supreme Judicial Court unanimously rejected a claim by an alleged abuser that the civil law was unconstitutional, making it clear that survivors can in fact seek justice from the courts, abusers can be held accountable, and more children can be protected from sexual abuse.
