It's Opening Day for the popular Waltham Farmers’ Market as they begin their 26th season featuring over 30 vendors selling locally-grown fruits and vegetables, organic and specialty produce, herbs, cheese, eggs, honey, maple syrup products, beef, pork, chicken, fish, smoked fish, coffee, sauces, baked goods, pasta, gluten-free baked goods, juice, halvah, soap, dog treats, jewelry, bags and handcrafts. Join in the festivities as Waltham Farmers' Market opens for the 2016 season!
Free concerts are held on several market days and feature sounds from the Renaissance, pop, folk, R&B, rock, and jazz. Concerts begin at 11. The concerts will be posted on our Waltham Calendar and on the Waltham Farmers' Market page when they are announced.
The market is held at School and Lexington Streets, in the Government Center lot at 119 School Street in Waltham. Parking is available behind the building off Lexington Street and at the Central Square Parking Deck, accessible by both Lexington and Common Streets. The market has pedestrian access from both School and Lexington Streets.
All vendors accept cash and market tokens. Tokens may be purchased at the market information tent using debit, credit, or SNAP/EBT cards. SNAP purchases for eligible foods up to $10 per person per week will be matched, with support from the First Parish Jones Partnership Fund.
The market is held rain or shine and is wheelchair-, bicycle- and stroller-accessible. Leashed pets are welcome. Hours are Saturdays, 9:30 a.m. – 2:00 p.m., from June 11 – November 5.
