Tag along on the second walk in our series of hikes on the Western Greenway Trail, traveling from "newest" to "'oldest" parts constructed. Last month, we covered the Paine Estate and Storer Conservation Land Area sections. This month, we'll enter the Chester Brook corridor, meeting in the parking lot of the Kennedy Middle School and heading north towards the Shady's Pond Conservation Area. We'll walk in forests about 1 1/4 miles through school-owned property over volunteer-built bridges and boardwalks, to the path along the YMCA and Bishop's Forest, cut by WLT volunteers on National Trail Day in 2013, one of the hottest days ever! Please see the link below for more information and to register for this hike.
