First Parish in Waltham

Description:

Imagine a religion which embraces many different beliefs … including yours.
The First Parish in Waltham has been growing and responding to the changing needs of Waltham citizens since 1696. We are a dynamic spiritual community at the heart of progressive Waltham. We value the diversity of our city.

Through our Waltham Connect meetings with other concerned citizens in our city we welcome conversation and take the first steps of joint action leading toward our shared goals. Though our Jones Partnership Fund and our Social Action Team we work for environmental and social justice as a partner with our city’s leading social agencies. And we work abroad with community education leaders in Mumias, Western Kenya (through our Acacia in Kenya project).

We strive to be a safe, compassionate and Welcoming Congregation that supports individual spiritual and intellectual growth for people of all ages, races, and gender identities.

Members of First Parish come from all walks of life and from many different religious traditions. We are a multi-generational community with varied and vocal opinions on spirituality, politics, ethics, and events of the day. We hope you will find the spiritual sustenance and sense of belonging you seek within our faith community.
