The Waltham Chamber of Commerce is an independent organization that represents the business community in the Waltham area and West Suburban region. There are nearly 600 business members who invest in the organization with their dollars, program ideas, and volunteer effort through committees and other related activities. In turn, the Chamber utilizes the investment to help business do business through local governmental affairs, state and federal legislative advocacy, public relations, economic and community development, business and educational programs, and a “voice for business.”

Kristin DeSousa is the Vice President, Business Planning & Performance – US Electric for National Grid. Kristin has the responsibility for development and execution of the performance strategy for the US Electric Companies in Massachusetts, Upstate New York and Rhode Island, while ensuring positive financial results and regulatory performance consistent with operating targets and regulatory agreements.
Prior to her current role, Kristin had the responsibility for Performance, Strategy & Community for the Massachusetts Gas & Electric business and held prior roles in Finance, Customer and Executive Operations. Kristen has been an active participant in shaping Utility Operations, with over 27 years in the industry in a variety of roles; she is uniquely situated to understand the importance of safety, cost management and customer satisfaction. Kristen has a BS in Accountancy from Bentley University. She resides in Massachusetts with her husband Joe and is the proud mother of two children; Cassandra, who is a police officer in Rutland, Massachusetts and Jared, who is a senior studying Finance at UMASS Lowell.
