Some American traditions of the 20th century are timeless.  We remember the PTA Bake Sales of the 60's with fondness and a wisp of nostalgia!  With the expected high turnout of voters, Many Waltham Public Schools PTOs are geared up and ready for the traditional bake sales (and more) you will find at several polling places on Election Day.  If you're one of the approximately 8,000 voters who cast their ballots during the early voting period, please consider stopping by a bake sale and lend your support to these organizations (at least you won't have to wait in line).

On November 18, at 7 PM First Parish in Waltham will offer an evening of conversation entitled Multicultural Waltham Connect: Little Kampala, Honoring the Ugandan Experience. Waltham Connect is offered twice a year at First Parish to discuss issues of interest to the Waltham community. On November 18th, we will explore how Ugandans are experiencing life in “Little Kampala” In Waltham, a home away from home. The event is free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be served. First Parish is located at 50 Church Street in Waltham.

Waltham, MA – RTN Federal Credit Union collected and donated 236 pairs of socks through participation in Boston Healthcare for the Homeless Program (BHCHP)’s 2016 Sox for Socks Drive.  RTN is one of more than 100 businesses, faith groups, schools, colleges, and individuals who have participated and collected new white cotton socks so far this year, including the largest sock drive sponsor, the Boston Red Sox.

Waltham, MA—The RTN Federal Credit Union Employees Community Outreach Committee sponsored and served dinner on October 19 for close to 55 men and women at the Bristol Lodge Soup Kitchen in Waltham. The Lodge is one of the non-profit organizations and charities in local communities that the Committee supports annually through personal donations and contributions of their free time.
