Krystal Parrella Osika and William Sweet Win 5th Annual Dancing With The Waltham Stars

Over 400 guests were treated to an exciting dance competition at the 5th Annual Dancing with the Waltham Stars on Friday September 30th.

The event benefits The Friends of Waltham Senior Citizens, a non-profit organization that serves as a resource for the Waltham Council on Aging. Stacey Gallagher Tully, serves as President of this organization and, along with an amazing all volunteer team, is the mastermind behind this annual fundraiser. The Council on Aging identifies senior citizens from Waltham in need of emergency assistance.

OPINION: Pump up the turnout - early voting begins October 24!

OPINION: Pump up the turnout! Early Voting Begins October 24

Our take: For the first time in the Commonwealth's history, Massachusetts registered voters have the opportunity to cast their ballots early.  In 2008, 50% of Waltham's registered voters cast ballots (16% below state average).  In 2012, the turnout was 70.7% (4% above state average).  This year, Waltham can and must do better.   It's difficult to find another Presidential election cycle which has been as contentious and volatile as this in modern history.
