College Scholarship Contest Under Way at Massachusetts Credit Unions

RTN Federal Credit Union is accepting applications for a college scholarship contest sponsored by the Cooperative Credit Union Association (CCUA). RTN actively participates in CCUA community efforts and drives throughout the year.

The statewide contest is open to high school seniors who will be enrolled in an undergraduate college degree program during the 2016-2017 academic year. The students must be RTN members or have parents or guardians who are members. CCUA will award six $1,500 prizes.

Waltham Public Schools Superintendent Dr. Drew Echelson has released his first letter of the year to the community where he provides an update on strategic planning and elementary capacity. Dr. Echelson spent the first few months of his administration getting to know the community and listening to the concerns of parents and residents. “It is now time to transition from entry into strategic planning,” Echelson stated.
