Waltham, MA— This summer, RTN Federal Credit Union is a Worcester Bravehearts Good Deed Seats sponsor. Through this community project with the Bravehearts, the Credit Union is honoring community contacts, partners, members or volunteers because of their good deeds by being invited to attend a Worcester Bravehearts game. Attendees get four tickets for a given night depending on availability. RTN is mentioned at the game as a Good Deed Sponsor, and the Good Deed Seats winners are recognized.

WALTHAM — Waltham’s Ward 6 city council candidate Sharline Nabulime submitted nomination papers with 153 signatures at the City Clerk’s office on July 3, formally beginning her candidacy for the open seat. 50 signatures are required for filing nomination papers.

“I’m honored to have been able to speak to hundreds of neighbors across Ward 6 as I begin this campaign,” said Nabulime, “and I’m just as eager for the opportunity to speak with hundreds more in the lead-up to the preliminary election on August 7.”

Waltham Salvation Army Seeks Businesses to Display Paper Red Kettles

The Waltham Salvation Army is sending 51 Waltham children to Camp Wonderland this Summer and needs to raise $17, 500 to do so. Because of some very generous people and a Chateau fundraiser, and kettle drive at Market Basket, we have raised some of that goal but we are still in need of $12,000 to ensure that all 51 children have a stay away camp memory this year where they will enjoy sunshine and fresh air and make new friends.

Waltham, MA—More than 100 walkers, volunteers and staff participated in RTN Federal Credit Union’s 8th annual Walk Home for the Homeless on June 10. The 5K Walk events took place simultaneously in three locations -- Danvers Rail Trail, Dorchester Park and Waltham Common. Each Walk began with an Opening Program featuring remarks from local officials, and senior executives from the Credit Union and the Coalition.
