The City of Waltham School Committee will hold a public hearing on the School Department Operating Budget for the Fiscal Year 2018 - 2019 as required by Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter 71, Section 38N. The hearing will be held at Waltham High School, James J. Cannon Lecture Hall, 617 Lexington Street on Wednesday April 4, 2018 at 7:70 PM.

WSB Seeks Local High School Student Photos for Annual High School Photo Contest

WATERTOWN, March 2018-- Watertown Savings Bank (WSB) is seeking submissions for their Annual High School Photography contest.  If you are a high school student who lives or attends school in Arlington, Belmont, Lexington, Newton, Waltham, and Watertown you are eligible to participate.  The twelve winning photographs will be published in the bank’s 2019 calendar, which is distributed free to thousands of WSB customers and community members annually.

Waltham's Sacred Heart Church has invited actor and speaker Frank Runyeon to headline a three day Pre-Lenten Mission leading up to Ash Wednesday. Runyeon, known for many roles on television including soap operas As The World Turns and Santa Barbara.  Runyeon has a degree in Religion from Princeton University and has developed several one act dramas based upon selected texts from Gospels in the New Testament.  The four Pre-Lenten presentations include:
