Waltham Buddhist Meditation
The Waltham Buddhist Meditation Group provides space for new and experienced practitioners of meditation to practice together. Group and individual instruction in shamatha (mindfulness) meditation is provided. We meet every Thursday night at 7 p.m. in the chapel of First Parish in Waltham, 50 Church Street at the corner of School St. You may enter the chapel from the parking lot on the corner of School St. and Church St., or if the chapel door is locked, use the door to the left of that.
Following the hour of meditation, we offer teachings or videos at 8:00 p.m. Meditation instruction is offered at 7:00 at the beginning of the sitting period. Recorded guided meditation instruction is available here. There is also concise Tonglen Instruction for those who missed it in class or would like a review.
