Event Description:

Susan Stewart has been a Revolutionary War reenactor for over 20 years, with a concentration on period clothing and sewing techniques. She is also a long-time Broadway fan, and was excited by the authentic look of the costumes for Hamilton, the Musical.

Stewart will compare the Hamilton outfits with recreated clothing based on originals from the Revolutionary War. She will discuss the time periods that Hamilton covers from the point of view of the clothing, including some dyeing and sewing details.  She will also describe meeting Lin Manuel Miranda and her experiences backstage at Hamilton.  This is a Waltham Public Library sponsored event.  For more information, ask any desk staff.   "History Has Its Eyes On You" is a song in Act i of the Broadway hit Hamilton.  Download the flyer and share!
